HUNCH Design Projects
Glenn Johnson leads the Design and Prototype projects for NASA HUNCH and works closely with astronaut office, flight crew systems and the payloads operations group. Alli Westover works with Glenn to provide knowledge of requirements and specifications for these design projects. If there are specific questions about the project that your NASA HUNCH mentor cannot answer, you may contact Glenn or Alli for more assistance.

HUNCH Yearly plan
Hello Teachers and students,
I hope your school year is starting off well. I know there are lots of things that are undecided as we begin this year. HUNCH is hoping to continue providing quality projects for your students related to NASA’s missions. We know that most of you have different schedules than you normally have so we are trying to be as open as we can for accommodating your needs. Our goal this year is to be a learning experience for the students and that we are not wanting to bring added stress to the teachers. So, the HUNCH program should be done as much or as little as needed to meet the learning goal that the teacher/students have time for. I am not expecting to be able to meet face to face for the beginning of the year but I will try as restrictions relax. I am currently expecting the Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews to be virtual but I will keep my options open. The Final Review would normally be done in the middle of April but we will keep it as a goal.
Please don’t hesitate to call me and your mentors as you have questions. We will try to support you and your class as best we can.
